Clean (Un)install

If you’re upgrading the Turbulent Terminal or any of our sceneries from an older version, you may encounter some problems caused by old uninstallers.


If you’re upgrading from a 1.0.0 version of a scenery, or a scenery you purchased from a third party outlet (for example, JustFlight), please follow this quick guide on how to perform a clean (Un)install.


Clean (Un)install on Windows 10


1) Click on the start menu and select “Settings

2) Click “Apps” to open the “Apps & features” window

3) Click on any and all Turbulent products and click “Uninstall

4) Once you have successfully uninstalled all Turbulent products, including the Turbulent Terminal, locate and delete any “Turbulent” folder that may be in the route directory of a simulator or the directory you chose to install the Turbulent Terminal to (Example: D:\Program Files (x86)\Turbulent or D:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Turbulent)

5) Browse to your simulator "scenery.cfg" and remove any Turbulent scenery entries


"Scenery.cfg" locations:

FSX: “C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX

P3D v3: “C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3

P3D v4: “C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4



6) Now that all traces of previous Turbulent versions are removed, you can now install the latest versions.

7) It is recommended that you install the latest Turbulent Terminal first, which can be located on the main page, here: https://www.turbulentdesigns.co.uk/

8) Now that you have installed the latest version of the Turbulent Terminal, browse to your account download page for the latest versions of your purchased products. Your “Downloads” page is located here: https://www.turbulentdesigns.co.uk/my-account/downloads/

9) You have now performed a clean (Un)install
